Meigs County Environmental Health’s staff offers inspection of new and used septic systems and the lots they are to be installed or are installed on.  They also provide inspections of public swimming pools and of local restaurants and school cafeterias.  They also handle and investigate pet and other nuisance complaints

In addition to the above, additional duties were presented with the passage of the Ohio Smoke Free Workplace Program.

Also, periodically, Meigs Environmental Health offers services like the collection of used tires and pet rabies vaccination clinics.

We offer our list of registered Septic Installers and Cleaners, our Environmental Fees and a link to the Ohio Department of Health Ohio Smoke Free Website.

For the above lists, contact can be made by calling 740-992-5027, or by emailing steve.swatzel@odh.ohio.gov.
